In the 1990s he traveled as a violinist in Europe (Germany, Italy, Spain, and Slovakia) with various musical ensembles, performing chamber and orchestra music.

He performed fiddle music in Ireland (Dublin and Galway).

An award-winning German-language author. His published works include two volumes of poetry, two short story collections and a novel, in addition to being published in various magazines and literature anthologies.

A Commissioned S/O and a Personal Protection Officer (PPO) registererd with the Texas Department of Public Safety. He has also successfully completed the Glock Instructor's Workshop at the Irving Police Department.
